Welcome to Darling Daisies in home childcare!

I would like to personally welcome you to our home. I am Ms. Katherine. I opened Darling Daisies in order to spend more time at home with my children. I have three beautiful children. Mia who is 8, Liam who is 6 and Owen who is 2.

I have been working in early childhood education since 2011. I have gone from assistant teacher, to teacher, to director and now owner. This has truly been a dream come true for me! I received my bachelors in elementary education with a minor in early childhood/special education from Concordia University Ann Arbor. I then went on to get my masters in early childhood from Northcentral University.

Early childhood education is truly my passion!

At Darling Daisies, I strive to meet each child where they are in their development and help them move forward using sensory, play, fine motor and gross motor activities. Using these activities, children learn the skills they need to be successful both in school and in life. These are just a few of the goals I have for each child. ​

• Participate in parallel play with others

• Voice my own needs

• Recognize feelings in other

• Be willing to try new things

• Write and or spell your first name

• Communicate your needs/wants

Not all children will reach all of these goals, however, with encouragement, these goals can be attainable for all children.
